Customer Update May 2020

It has now been announced that HM Government have advised that as of Wednesday 13th May Garden Centres (not Tea Rooms) in England can re-open on the understanding that it is safe for both staff and customers and that all required social distancing guidelines can be adhered to.

Whilst this is great news for all, it does raise certain concerns based on the layout of our rose nursery and shop, as we only have limited space for entrance, exit and at our check out system.

Our staff have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to make sure that all our roses have flourished and we are very proud and grateful for all their hard work and efforts. They have maintained social distancing and employed all the required PPE to insure that everyone here at Black Birches has stayed well and safe, whilst the roses have continued to establish and grow.

After full discussion with our staff and family, it is felt that we would not be able to open to customers as a walk through business and still maintain these high standards of welfare and safety for all. So we have decided that for the time being the rose centre will remain closed to visitors.

We have however now opened for phone orders that can be collected from our gates and will also continue to deliver to our local customers. Please call 01939 211900 if you would like to arrange to collect roses or have any delivered.

Our full rose stock is available to view on our website Country Garden Roses, where you can browse our many varieties and make your choices for local collection and delivery. Please be aware that the prices listed on are for national delivery and include packaging and carriage charges, so the rates you pay for collection and local delivery are actually much lower at between £17.99 and £24.99 per rose.

As ever it is our hope and wish that everyone stays safe and well and that in time you will all have the chance to once again wander amongst our rose beds and enjoy the fabulous colours and scents that we have become renowned for.

Best wishes,
Jon and the Team
